Winter and Inashell, during winter we call her the Snow Baby .... She much prefers the outside of the house, in contrast to Old Man, who we practically have to push out of the door.

Older Image of the house from the pirogue and the pirogue waiting to go
out

One of the best parts of a Spring Catch .... is fried egg sacks!, and these big mouths were full.

Inashell and Old Man in the swamp (bog) out back .... one of their favorite
places to hang out.
We enjoy passing time here with the Beavers, Herons, Swamp Hens, Ducks, Turtles,
Otters, Loons and more.

My connection to the Atchafalaya Basin/Louisiana from here in Minnesota, Coffee has quite a different taste while sitting about the porch of the chateaux.

Cherylin & Rita Joe. This same
morning Cherylin first re-acquainted herself with the waters of the Atlantic
Her distant ancestors lived along the same coast as Rita before migrating to the
Headwaters of the Mississippi.
This is also the homelands of my Acadian and Mi`kmaqi (Lnu`) ancestry
